14.1" Wide Screen LCD cracks at top center of screen - ThinkPad R61, T61

Symptom

Cracks in LCD at top center on R61 and T61 14.1" wide screen models.

Affected configurations

The following systems with maybe affected by this symptom:

ThinkPad R61 (type 7732, 7733, 7734, 7735, 7736, 7737, 7738, 7742, 7743, 7744, 7751, 7753, 7754, 7755)
ThinkPad T61 (type 6377, 6378, 6379, 6480, 6481, 7658, 7659, 7660, 7661, 7662, 7663, 7664, 7665)

Solution

Wehave been seeing several cases regarding broken LCDs on the 14.1widescreen products, both R61 and T61. The investigation is ongoing butfor now, we need to make an exception for those customers who havebroken LCDs similar to these (see photos) since this type of damage isnormally billable. If the cracks originate in the top center of the LCDand the machines show no signs of mishandling, the customer should notbe charged for the LCD replacement.

我们看到在ThinkPad R61和T61宽屏机型中有几个LCD屏幕开裂的情况。
目前仍然在调查中，不过我们说明一下，类似图中的消费者破裂的LCD例外，这种情况的破坏是要计费的。
如果开裂是从LCD顶部中间引起并且机器没有不正常使用的现象，消费者无须付费即可免费更换LCD。

做工比以前差要承认的，不过液晶出现这样的问题与防滚架有没有关系？
