A Bit of Inconsistency

Hi everyone, I bought a ThinkPad T400 2767-PV7 in this division (ZZ) last Nov., which on the whole is pretty good and everything's perfect. But only one thing kept pestering me for a few days: the wireless card. According to the product description from XY, the wireless card should be Intel 5100 agn; it turned out to be Realtek 8191 when I was scrambling to install a Ubuntu on my box. The following is the description I got from the Lenovo website for this module:

you can check the logo at the left palmrest of computer，if marked with “centrino” the wireless card is 5100 or 5300.i suggest that you contact with xy directly, they will give you a clear explanation. Take easy~！

802.11bgn这个就是ThinkPadBGN的无线网卡，INTEL5100或者5300的话会写这么写型号的。

well,i think u should take a app for it

just google it "Wireless LAN Identification Utility"

when u guys install it and run,the os well tell u which one(intel or thinkpad) u get

Thanks guys for all your kind replies. As a matter of fact, it is not like a different wireless card from 5100 is gonna affect me too much and I've installed Ubuntu together with XY's oem XP successfully. It only took me coupla more days to install the "incorrect" driver the card and made me use the wired internet connection.
